taking steps
Resume updated, references and recommendations requested on LinkedIn, and sent the resume to some listings in there. More tomorrow. Sigh.
Cover letter basically says that while my title and salary have remained the same, my actual duties have changed drastically and I believe that it is time to look for a new environment and new challenges.
My online presence has a decidedly personal flavor but nothing embarassing - I list the International Wenches Guild on my resume for goodness sake! (And often get asked about it as well)
And so it begins...

Very scary. No-one needs a stressful boss, especially when the job itself can be 'challenging'.

Before I was looking for a job because I was pretty sure they were preparing to fire me. That changed, and I was OK with that.
However, now I know I'm in no danger of that, but it's my choice. The last few days of actual red-faced arm-waving and foot-stamping tantrums with bonus profanity have been the final straw. Every contractor we have dealt with on this move has said to me "Wow, I don't know how you manage to put up with that". Then I thought about it, and decided that there isn't any reason any more to do so.
The marketing manager left last month.
