How to build a Backpack Time machine

This was the starting point - a Craftsman My First engine kit

Here is a badly-washed-out shot after the first coats of paint

Now with added brass and copper bits!
Still to add are a pressure gauge to the "air filter" attachment in the lower right, and a "clock" (for the moment a pic cut from a catalogue and set in a bras-ainted frame) which will go in that round place in the middle. Someday the crank-and-gear assembly may be motorized but I have less than a month before Windycon.
It will sit on a backpack/belt rig cut from leathers I've had in my stash for a while. I also have a raygun in progress which will sit in a holster on the belt.
