Passing on the Wisdom of SteamPunk

Most of you know that when I first got into Steampunk, I was having a minor freakout about the "authenticity" of the plastic nosepieces on my pseudo-victorian sunglasses. The general opinion of the folks over at steamfashion was "Chill the f*ck out and if anyone give you crap you can shoot them with your ray gun!"

I had a chance to pass on that wisdom today - a woman was freaking out about the zippers on the steamy new boots she got. I used the direct quote from above, and then added a spin of my own:

"Honey, if there's someone under my skirts and they are paying that much attention to my boots, clearly I'm doing something wrong..."

speaking of passing wisdom (ok, that sounded wrong)... i have a artist friend who is captain_snarky on here, is starting a foray into steampunk jewelry....she does awesome stuff and i'm hoping i can hook you two up
