Did my federal taxes. I only owe $53. (This is compared to the $615 I owed last year, which is STILL stuck in 'offer in compromise' hell).

Welcome to the wonderful world of the self-employed. You NEVER get tax refunds.

But I can realistically pay this one, and I am having the new job withhold a bit extra per week so that next year won't be so bad either.

$53 paid out is perfect though....means you didn't give the government a huge interest-free loan.
