I got a nifty thing

Stocking up on stuff while I still have money, and I picked up this little number last night.

I have a big humidifier, but I've yet to track down why it leaks, so I picked this up for $29 less my 20% off coupon to hold me for now.

Had a little trouble at first because none of the 3 adapters provided fit the one empty bottle I had lying around, but 75 cents at the corner store procured a bottle of Ice Mountain that fits the blue adapter quite well.  It's happily misting away.

I like the idea that it's smaller, and though it won't produce as much mist as a full-sized one, I think that will be compensated by it's convenient size and ease of cleaning.  Rinsing out hard water scale with a sploosh of vinegar should be fairly easy, and there is no large chamber to sit and mildew.

Hopefully this will help prevent me from drying up and cracking this winter.

Please let me know how it works. I haven't used my large one in over a year, because I can't bring myself to go through the cleaning procedure once a week, even though most of it goes in the dishwasher. And I've been having the really nasty sore throat gunky-cough for the last week.

I had you in mind when I wrote it. It's been working for about 3 hours now on high and about half the bottle is gone.
