wendyzskiI blew a job interview today!
Somehow I got it into my head that it was an hour later than it really was, and only realized on my way out the door when I checked my bus tracker app and the calendar reminder came up that I had 10 minutes to get downtown. Yeah - not happening.
I called and left a message (lying my head off about the reason) to see if I could reschedule, but really, in this economy *I* certainly wouldn't bother with an applicant who couldn't manage to show up to an interview scheduled nearly a week in advance.
*bangs head on desk a few more times for good measure*
UPDATE - Rescheduled for 9:30 tomorrow morning. Since I've been getting to sleep around 6AM of late I may just stay up "round the horn" and then go to bed afterwards
I had a good phone interview yesterday at least. She seemed surprised that I had found the company's website by back-checking her e-mail address, and actually laughed when she described the job and I replied "So what you really need is an "Office Mom".. Job would be in Northbrook, and there is a bus but it's one of those "rush hour only" specials which is kind of pain. Still, beggars can't be choosers right now.
Other than that, just plugging along. Am slowly coming out of a major depressive episode from last week. Alternating days reading and watching TV. Got a lot of Condo Board stuff done over the weekend. Made waffles. Petted Winslet.
