"Not planning on firing you" my ass.

Found my job was posted on CareerBuilder on Saturday.

For $5000 less a year than I'm making.

You don't want to be there anyway, honey... Really. Truly.

*HUGS*

That happened to me once. They argued it was because they were afraid I was going to leave and wanted to be ready.

Ironically, I left. :)

Save us, O Lord, from the Stupid People....

Actually, yes. You flat out asked her this morning if she was planning on firing you, and she said no. Document it officially. Because if she's not planning on firing you, then she's planning on laying you off... *innocent blink* Better unemployment benefits from layoffs than firings anyway, and less likely to be challenged on a resume.

Start getting your ducks lined up, hon. Not like you weren't looking to leave, but there's a difference between "termination without cause" and "termination with cause" in the eyes of the unemployment commission... And getting canned because you're uncomfortable with the work environment isn't kosher.

Is there a real HR department there?

Cheap bastards, aren't they?

*notes name of firm so I don't inadvertantly apply, ever*

I read the description and automatically appended the -y on the word loop in "..a loop law firm..."

*notes name of firm so I don't indavertantly trust them, or their affiliates, with my money (if I ever happen to have any) either*

That bites...

A request: Could you please put some text with a URL like that, instead of showing the URL itself? It's about 6 times as wide as my browser window, and forces horizontal scrolling of my friends list. Thanks.

That' is the most duplicitious...

...annoying, rotten thing I think an employer can do.

Any bites on new jobs yet?

Have interview tomorrow afternoon - it's the company that puts Dunkin Donuts in convenience stores.

Break a leg. Hopefully your firm's HR person, on the way out the door to a new job. [evil grin]
