Fly to Oakland. Take public transit to hotel - arrive 2-ish.
4:00 Rehearsal @ Winery - catch ride w/Mom - bring sweatshirt & bathing suit
5:30 Rehearsal Dinner @ John & Melissa's home
8-11 Welcome reception & wine tasting - same

10/2 Saturday
8:30 Grape Harvesting at Thomas Fogerty Winery (carpool being arranged)
3:00 - 8:00 Wedding & Reception (bus to Winery @ 1:50 or 2:10)
8:30 - ? After-Party @ hotel

10/3 Sunday

9-11 Brunch
1-ish Pick up rental car in Palo Alto
Nice leisurely drive up to Sacramento

10/4 and 10/5 (Monday & Tuesday)
I dunno [livejournal.com profile] capi, what ARE we doing? I have to be back in San FranCircus on the evening of the 5th. Can I trust you to make arrangements?

Maritime Museum & Park (FREE)
Alcatraz Night tour ($23.50 - tickets ordered today)

10/8 Friday
Chinatown Tour & lunch ($40) reservations made today
Haight/Ashbury wander, including Discount Fabrics
Poss. Golden Gate Park, and sunset @ Ocean Beach

10/9 Saturday
sleep in a bit, then back out to airport. Fly out mid-afternoon, then home by midnight local time.

That would be an ENTIRELY different trip.

This one is "A week out west for under $300 plus meals". Thank the gods for friends with sofas, cheaper hotels across the street from ridiculously-snooty ones, Southwest Frequent Flyer points, and free museum days!

Did that once before...the '97 Westercon in downtown Seattle (marvelous seafood at the 6th St. Fish Market). Took about 12 hours Sac to Seattle, accounting for pit stops to load/unload road munchies.
