i was dumb
Jul. 15th, 2007 11:18 amI moved a very heavy lateral file cabinet by myself on Friday and now my back hurts. It's not OMG painful, but it's like someone tugging on my sleeve a lot "Hey - you're in pain.....Hey...." Yesterday I was able to catch up on sleep in the car en route to the gig in Muncie IN but on the vay back things started locking up.
But the heating pad is heating, the book stack is prepared and I'm hoping I can get a lid on this. I want to do a major kitchen/bunny cage sweep/vacuum/mop this afternoon, in case Pepper likes her date so much she wants him to come upstairs to see her etchings. Plus it's sposed to get hot again starting tomorrow, so any floor-washing and trash-taking should happen today before I shut up the place and turn on the AC.
The show went well - one set (slightly shortened to help out the other act who had someone who had to leave early), and some wandering. "Wandering" for us means sitting and playing someplace for about 15-20 minutes, then going somewhere else to sit and play for about 15-20 minutes. The grounds were lovely, though the mosquitoes really came out near sunset. Not really a huge exciting show but nice yeoman work and a good paycheck at the end. Took longer to get there than we thought, so no time to eat before the show (which is BAD for me) but I borrowed a couple of bucks to get a hot dog mid-evening before I fell over. John managed to miss the Skyway and then we took an exciting tour of some of the seedier parts of the Dolton area before finding our way back to the Dan Ryan.
But now the couch is calling my name...
