3AM + neg30 windchills + vacant 1st floor unit with smoke detector going off = waay too much excitement

Fire Dept had to break the door in and it turned out to be some kind of electrical thingie - the place was empty (we were worried that the former tenant's friends were squatting and had set something on fire) and only one of the 2 hardwired detectors was going off. They disconnected it and left.

So I called in for a 1/2 personal day and am now up and headed in. Bleh. Do not poke the short chick today as she is likely to bite your leg
